Malwarebytes is blocking access to the indicated IP addresses and just happens to tell you what port a connection was trying to be made on. Since both of the services that you mentioned are peer to peer networks, it is very possible that those IP addresses that your computer is trying to connect to are associated with malicious activity, hence MWB is trying to block them for your protection.

BTW, I'm only trying to help you and my last message was only trying to solicit the information necessary to resolve the problem, not imply anyone's level of knowledge.

Have a nice day,
John

It does, it says: malware bytes has blocked the following port: ip address:
process skype.exe or utorrent.exe
Which suggests to me it is blocking ports, or why would it come up with the
message.
Btw I do resent being treated like an idiot. I may be a new old member, but
that doesn't make me stupid!

I do not believe that Malwarebytes blocks ports. Port blocking is normally
the function of a firewall. What message are you getting that makes you
believe that MWB is doing the blocking?

Can anyone tell me how to stop Malware Bytes from blocking ports both
incoming and outgoing without turning it off. The problem I have is that
it's blocking ports to do with Skype and Utorrent, and I don't want it to.

Cheers

Alex
