Hi Steve,
    That's interesting, never saw a laptop without an F/N key.
Short of what Denny suggested, you could disable it in the BIOS, but that 
requires sighted help.
If you have to go that route, you should have an external
mouse handy  in the event you need someone to click on something that your 
screen-reader can't access.

Hello Rick, this laptop has no FN key that one could use n combination with
the function keys as do my Inspiron netbook.

This was there before I experienced the password problem I had last week so
not sure if somehow this has been removed.

Want to get it back of would appreciate any work-a-round to turn off that
annoying touchpad that take me all over a document when I am typing.
