Hi Chrissie,
Actually, I really enjoyed your review. I would like to know what both
males and females think of my games. As you are a female, and I am
hoping to introduce a female character your opinion is highly regarded.
Since the jump sound seams to be to wimpy I can just find a better one
without the sexy gasp sound in it. Coming up with a generic jump should
be pretty easy to do.
If you want a more butt kicking female sound I do have some sounds of
actress Lucy Lawless, Xena, doing stunts on the Xena show. Not sure
though if they are enough for the game, but she certainly has a tough
brave voice and, well, good fight sounds.
As for your other points about leading female characters I think you hit
the nail on the head. Often times they are written by men for men so we
wind up producing a female character that is sexy looking/sounding. The
Toomb Raider games and movies is a classic example of that. The Xena tv
show and games is another. We have no idea on how female customers will
react to it until we get feedback from them.
