I think they call it the Rotomatic. I haven't used one before, just heard
about them.

I think it is somewhat similar to a click ruler but I don't know what it is.

I am considering buying a second click rule.
So many things I have to center.
I've been clampping the click rule to my pieces, and using it to center, and
sometimes I have to push the piece back and forth until I am satisfied that
it is as close to center as possible.
Train car rooves and so on.

I think the reason they don't do anything to improve the talking tape
measure is because they have no competition, so they just keep selling a low
quality product.
