It would be good to see a concrete proposal for this since, unlike the HTTP 
header case, there doesn't appear to be a proposed workaround. For apps 
that perform purely client-side language switching, losing this information 
would be a significant regression. I imagine there are possible workarounds 
that could be introduced such as introducing a function that takes a list 
of available languages and returns the preferred one (with suitable 
restrictions on the function to prevent abuse).
