I certainly would not agree that there are a high level of bugs in
Boltwire. I don't have anything on my bug list right now.

Most issues reported are when new versions are released which is expected.

An external editor would kind of defeat the purpose of the Wiki in the first
place. It comes with an editor which allows you to edit the pages anywhere
you can access the wiki from and works with the system to provide
timestamping and the ability to undo. An external editor would not have
that ability with the Wiki.

The internal editor allows you to edit files without having direct access to
the files on the filesystem, it has security functions to prevent the wrong
users for doing so etc... Using an external editor would defeat most of that
as well.

While I do some page generation, including login.user files from external
sources, all of the edits are done in the internal boltwire editor. If it
was not usable, I would have moved to something else as that is the whole
point.

The issues with the \\\ slashes is interesting and I can see how it might be
an issue in that a slash is also a delimiter. It is like some of the other
special combination of characters that may require some special processing
to deal with.

I've not seen anything that was a real show stopper where Dan was not able
to correct within the system or via a plugin.
