@Zombie - I wonder where you are with this?

I had a thought (admittedly a real reach). Maybe your boom's power
supply is failing, and something to do with LMS startup is causing extra
load on the weak supply causing the boom to wig out? I was involved on
another thread where a radio would only operate if the power switch was
held in. All the options related to fixing the button were discussed and
it turned out to be the supply. Stranger things have happened.

The other thought I had is this, your boom is ethernet connected and has
the problem, the radio is wifi connected and does not have the problem.
Maybe wifi the boom, ethernet the radio to see if the issue is device or
connection type related?

You also are using the line in on the boom, which is unique to this
player. Perhaps disconnect this link and see what happens?
