I sent a PM to disable the former owners registering of my Boom to mysb.com. I'll take it from there. I'm not sure disabling Line in would change anything as I have used Line in and LMS for many years without any trouble. I use Line in to play sounds from my work PC and LMS to play music from streams, web radio while I work. Downgrading to the previous version of LMS I used would be smth better to try. It seems the upgrade to 8.2 was the only big change I made to this setup.
