So I installed LMS on my sofa laptop and restarted that LMS and the Boom retained the volume setting. Switching back to LMS on the NAS sets the volume to 99. switching to the sofa LMS, sets the Boom volume to the setting it had before switching to the NAS LMS. So, it seems it is the LMS I have that creates this problem. Very strange. What is even stranger is that it switched to max volume twice during the day, without restarting LMS. Maybe that was a network glitch.
