I remember getting a /30 setup and have never, in the last five years,
gotten an IP out of the range of 4 that I supposedly have assigned. You
can also have an address assigned to your mac address so that it's
assigned by the dhcp server but it's the same address every time. I
thought the guy was having problems with needing a static IP outside of
the linksys anyway.
