Michelle,

Which embosser do you have? A standard Braille page should be either 32 characters for narrow paper and 40 characters a line for wider paper. This might change if you offset your left margin for punching paper or when using paper with 19 hole binding slots. I could probably give you better information if I knew what you were using. If you insist on using twenty spaces per line, go into the document you wish to emboss. Go to the "format menu". Space or arrow down till you find the "page setup menu". Go into that menu and you will find paper length and width. Change paper width to 20 if you wish to stay with 20 spaces. You will be asked whether you wish to save the changes, type Y for yes and you should be good to go. Your paper width should be set in the same manner as is set up in your embosser so words won't split as you have experienced thus far.

Subject: [Braillenote] Keyword Question

Hello,

This is probably a simple question to answer, but I need some help embossing
documents from Keyword. There seems to be a difference between the
characters per line in keyword and the embosser. The embosser is set to 20 characters per line, which is apparently standard. When I emboss a keyword
document, keyword often splits the last word and puts the last few letters
of the last word on the line below and then starts a new line. This makes
reading really difficult for a new reader like our daughter. How do I fix
this? I tried searching the braillenote manual, but I must not be using the
right words to search.

Thanks!

Michelle
