Hi Deon and All, Actually, I am in the US, although I personally may very well not use a lot of the features of KS 7.5. For example, I have no plans to use the new RFB&D support.
However, in looking at the list of features for KS 7.5, it does appear there will be a lot that isn't specific to the US, whether or not we choose to use any of these new features. It does, though, seem that KS 7.5, and perhaps much more of the BN focus if the HW web site is any indication, is being geared more towards the educational sector. Now, as to the features of KS 7.5 that non US folks can use if they choose; there is the SSL email encryption, the inclusion of the multi-lingual speech and Braille support, the improved SD and USB drive support for the mPower--although of course I do realize this has been made available for sometime--, the built-in playlist support for the mPower, the unified English Braille support, and the enhancements to the visual display application and the Duxbury translator and to the KeySync application--and I sure hope this KeySync application really does work as well as the synchronization I get when performing the same task with one of my Pocket PC devices. So, because of the nature of the types of things being upgraded, they might not really jump out at someone, but there really does appear to be at least a thing or two for practically everyone. Now, as for my PK and the future, although I don't know if I'll purchase another SMA, I don't have any intentions of selling the unit at this time, either. For, as I have stated previously, there just isn't anywhere else at this time where one can get such a small device that does so much, and with a built-in Braille display included, too. Now, I may very well purchase a competitor product and sell my mPower, but I'm still reviewing all my options in that regard. How do those of you outside the USA feel? 2. Has Humanware taken note of this? 3. If they have, is there something in the pipeline to make 7.5 worth paying for to us? All feedback welcome.
