Hi, I realize that, what I meant was that you can't use Braille Terminal
natively via USB. Sorry for not making this clear.

With the proper adapter, I think that this would work. I would advise
phoning into HumanWare and seeing about obtaining a USB to Serial adapter
that connects into the USB port of your PC and the Serial goes to your
BrailleNote. With this arrangement, your PC should recognize it as a Serial
instead of a USB device, thus allowing you to use your BrailleNote as a
braille display.

Good Luck!

Kevin

Ray and all, you cannot yet use USB as a Braille display method; only serial
and bluetooth are supported.

Hi Wendy:

I experimented using the Braille Note Mpower and JAWS 8.0. When connected
to Com1 I was able to get JAWS to recognize the Braillenote as a Braille
Display. However, I wasn't able to get it to work using a USB cable, so I'm
not sure you can set the BN up as a Braille Display running on a USB
connection. I checked the BN User's Guide and it states that you need to
use the serial port for Braille Display setup.

Thanks, hope that helps.
