Hi, does this apply to mPowers and Classics then? Ok, I leave my mPower plugged in when not in use, but was curious in case I need to put it into storage one day. Thanks for sharing. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kylie Forth" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Subject: [Braillenote] Important: PK battery warning

Hi all PK users

I just got my PK back from a service and was given some interesting
information.

Apparently, unlike the other BrailleNotes, the PK cannot be left fully
uncharged for a prolonged length of time. If the batteries are left
completely flat for a while, the lithium cells will lock and won't allow the
battery to charge again. I have actually seen this happen to another PK
which could not be charged, or even switched on, after it had been left flat
for a few weeks.

I don't know exactly how long the batteries can last before the lock, but it is something to bear in mind if you plan to leave your unit unplugged or in
storage for a long time.

Cheers

Kylie
