the issue with being able to read docx files is not unique to the BrailleNote or Apex. Unless a computer has the capability to read Word 2007 or the newly released 2010, it cannot read them either. Or in other words, any computer that can only read Word 2003 and older files cannot read them. The simplest solution is to have the person sending the file convert it to a doc file format.
