Hi Chris
I assume this means losing all my emails on the Apex? Or at least needing to back them all up first?
Best!
Peter

Peter:

The error itself is an SMTP error, and I most often have seen 10060 SMTP
errors.

Error 10050
WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROTECT OUTGOING MAIL (SMPT PROTOCOL). ERROR 10050

When I have seen error messages like this, they often turn out to be SSL-related issues. I have been able to cure such errors by completely deleting all mail folders and allowing BrailleNote to recreate them. Depending on your use of BrailleNote, this is a bit apinful, but worth
considering if it's not too disruptive.

Hey Jasmine
No, it can happen say I've just downloaded emails and then I go to send, or
vice versa, the error 10050 message occurs.
And this has only happened in the last couple of weeks.
Things wirelessly work fine with the Voice Sense.

Hi,
Peter, does this happen when you first turn on your Apex?

On many occasions in recent times, I get the message "error 10050
error connecting to pop server" when trying to download email.
I also get the message "error 10050 error connecting to SMPT
server" when trying to send email.
I turn wireless internet off and then on again, sometimes 3 or 4
times and then I can send or receive emails, depending on what
I'm trying to achieve.
I have done both a soft reset and the reset where I hold the
reset button in for a few seconds. This may "fix" the issue, but
only temporarily, the problem continues to occur.
Can't think of anything different in my email behaviour that has
made this happen.
I have a Bt 32 Apex running 9,1.
