Hello: I have a Sanyo SCP 4700 (Now the SCP 4900) and have no difficulty at all connecting with my Voicenote. You have to make sure that you are 1> connecting with the correct serial cable for your phone. There are many cables out there that look/feel very similar and they can vary allot in actual pin-out. 2> Make sure you have your port selection in the dial-up services entry set to Hayes compatible on the serial port. Most cell phones today have the modem built right in and only need to have the correct connect string sent to them. 3> You may need to check with your particular cell company to make sure that they allow direct connect data transmissions on their network. In my case, Sprint PCS charges an additional $5.00 for this "Privilege". It's important to realize that your not going to connect at light speed via cell due to interference from being indoors and other considerations but it can and does work. I primarily use my connection for checking email, but know people who like to surf the web while waiting for their next flight. Let me know if you have any more questions.
