Hi Terri,

I don't think there is a way to dial the isp directly as you're going through the gprs network, but stranger things and all that. <smile>

I did call Cingular support and they did give me a code to dial, but haven't gotten it to work yet. I start the log on process and disconnect immediately for
some reason.

There's clearly a setting that's not quite right and I need to figure out just what that is, probably via trial and error. I also called the hw tech support and they asked me to call them back when I do get it going so they will know how to help others. Hmmmmm! Maybe I should charge them for that service.

Anyway, thanks for your comments though, and hopefully I'll get it figured out one of these days. <grin>

Dear Don,

I envy you! I'm with Cingular Wireless and I have a Nokia 3595 which
doesn't have any kind of port at all. I've been thinking about buying the
Nokia 3600 because it has both Bluetooth and infrared.

I can't answer your question. But is it possible to simply use the phone as
a modem, dial your regular ISP and download your email into your BN? You
would use minutes, but you wouldn't incur extra charges for using the
internet.

Did you know you can even program your phone using Bluetooth with BN as a
braille display with WindowEyes and your PC?

I should also mention Cingular can enable or disable the internet function
so you can't accidentally get on the internet. That could be your problem.

All the best to you.
