And considering that oral temperature is not as accurate as perhaps
another orifice...
Well, I'm about out of innuendo on that. Except for mentioning that you
might want to use the thermometer equivalent of a condom over the
thermometer -- but you'd probably want to do that no matter how you were
taking a temperature, if you didn't want to put up with the hassle of
cleaning it every time. (Kaz makes great thermometer covers, BTW.)

p.s. a digital thermometer that beeps so you know when it's done reading
is a good thing, under most circumstances, anyway. (Taking the
temperature of a noise-sensitive baby is the only circumstance under
which I would think it would be a *bad* thing.)
