The reason the cost is so high is because of the cost of the venue. Camping is being charged for because the groundsmen lives at the venue and as such his privacy is being invaded and I am having to pay for the right to do it. There are very limited numbers and to be fair they will be little more facillities than a piece of grass and changing rooms open.
The cost of the venue is high but I assure you my profit margin is small. I will in fact be making less than the amount Si Hill suggested when the idea of one TD for a season was bandied around after tour 2. I apologise for the date moving but was following instructions from UKU and not making a personel decision meant to undermine travel plans. If all I get for putting together the ONLY viable bid for nationals is abuse I will quite happily withdraw the bid now owe nothing and spend no time working to give the tournament people deserve at the end of a hard season. Someone else may then put together a bid for the weekend people first thought it would be. However in 6 weeks I wish them luck.
