This has gone on a long time.  Just to clarify, the term "Major
League" is taken from the original name from which the rule set was
taken.  The MLU guys in the UK didn't make it up and as such are not
likely looking to alienate anyone by using this phrase.  It was simply
some folks in the USA who made it up likening it to MLB (Major League
Baseball).  Very much like the name of the sport Ultimate which when
you first encounter it sounds quite arrogant in itself as a name for a
sport.  30+ years later that's what it's called, we didn't name it and
we're used to it now.

In the end given the task as hand to train refs, establishing an
agreed team selection method and selectors (knowing a bit about what
goes on in GB selection I can guess this won't be decided easily or
quickly), and getting players who can and want to play it and can
afford whatever it'll cost, sounds like a nightmare.  If it does
happen I guarantee that I will definitely be there to watch.

Lastly....isn't it racist to use the expression "cotton-pickin'"?
