Also, there is an argument to be made that if the fouled player wanted to call it they would have. Perhaps stopping the play at this point is NOT advantageous to the offense and so on top of fouling, you've broken up their flow...

I'm relatively new to the WFDF rules<http://www.wfdf.org/index.php?page=rules/wfdf_ultimate_rules.htm>, but it looks to me like (as in UPA rules) it is up to the fouled player to call their own fouls: 404.13 Fouls: - A. Definition: Fouls are the result of physical contact between opposing players. A foul may be called by the player who has been fouledand must be announced by calling out the word, "foul" loudly and immediately after the foul has occurred. I know that in learning and development situations experienced players will often call fouls that they have committed to indicate to newer players when it has happened, but I had thought this was a training device rather than in line with the letter of the rules. (Note this is in contrast to violations which CAN be called by anyone (404.16.B) -LB > Benji > > > __________________________________________________ > BritDisc mailing list > [email protected] > http://www.fysh.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/britdisc > Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/staying-informed > __________________________________________________ BritDisc mailing list [email protected] http://www.fysh.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/britdisc Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/staying-informed __________________________________________________ BritDisc mailing list [email protected] http://www.fysh.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/britdisc Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/staying-informed
