As most of you already know, we've once again applied to participate in the Google Summer of Code! Our application is in and our ideas page ( http://brlcad.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code/Project_Ideas ) has been updated. Devs are welcome to make any additions or corrections needed! We've had several development activities over the past year that should be reflected in the project descriptions.
Some of the ideas page information, like the new Contacts column, is merely to give candidate students a notional point-of-contact to help students apprehensive sending that first mailing list intro. Please do add your name if you're knowledgeable about a given project idea as I only did a quick first pass to have someone listed for all of them. That said, there are several people have joined our mailing list over the past week, so please do introduce yourself and your interests. Tom Browder has been pulling together an awesome VM image to help simplify the process for some students. Be sure to give it a try and report feedback on your experience (thanks Jordi!). Cheers!
