I have bought a large waste bucket from the local hardware store for under 100 kr. I think it is 60 liters, or so. I fill that with cold water, add a few bricks in the bottom to support the pot, and place the pot there. The key for this is - as I have told here before - to leave the water running slowly, so that the water moves around the pot and mixes with the cold water from below. Otherwise you end up with a layer of hot water next to the pot, and cold water in the bottom where it does no good. This method works well for me, cools my 20 liter pot in about 20 minutes. Just one thing to watch out: When you take the pot out, wipe its outside with a towel before you pour the cold wort into your fermenter. Otherwise you risk dripping that cold water in. This can lead to an infection, unless you have sanitized your bucket too... > Will it be beer anyway? :-) Sure! -- Heikki Levanto "In Murphy We Turst" heikki (at) lsd (dot) dk _______________________________________________ Brygforum mailing list [email protected] http://www.haandbryg.dk/mailman/listinfo/brygforum To get off the list, send a blank mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
