That would be my first advice too. The book has a number of chapters of
the most common beer styles, and for each it lists typical malt and hop
bills - carefully collected from US home brewing competitions, so they
reflect what typical(?) (American) home brewers use. Plus some good text
about what each style is all about...


Although those styles are nice guidelines, don't worry if you get a bit
off the mark, for

    it will be beer anyway
