Yes I fully agree with Jacek. My feeling is also that there is no need
for separate certifications for the migration module. And I feel that
a BSD certification curriculum should in it include at least some
basics of migration from other OSes because that will be a common
issue faced by all BSD admins in real life. And as Jacek recommended
advanced topics relating to that can be given as a separate module.

Now I don't know what is the case in other countries but I feel in
India there is going to be a gradual shift towards more and more BSD
systems from other proprietary software even in Govt and Defence
sectors because the president has called for it.

Now he is the Scientist behind all the missiles and many other
advancements in India and his words are taken as of a great visionary.

More over there has been a gradual increase in the awareness of BSD
and its security in our country. Slowly now magazines have started
issuing free BSD CDs with them, More books on BSDs are showing up in
the computer book stores.

And to take real life examples we are getting enquiries as to what
should be done.

So most of the Sysadmins and Net admins in our country interested in
BSD solutions are working in different OS platforms now and they all
would benefit from the migration module.

Again if a company that wants to migrate its technology platforms to
BSD wants to hire competent people a migration module in the
certification will be a great relief for them :))

Thank you so much for the discussion space :))))))

good luck to all

kind regards

Siju
