I have to check this: does CCNA (for example) come with
subspecializations, or only CCIE?

Comparison with Cisco is dubious though because they (Cisco) have
a very (very) broad range of technologies and products that they
attempt to cover. I don't think that's the case with BSD.

My point being: CCNA is the "entry level" exam; you don't have embellishments on the entry level. Only at the top do you get "I have a CCIE in this and that".

I understand your point but I think that is a failing of the cisco way. For instance IP Telephony only requires should be allowed at the ccna level, but Security should probably not. This all depends upon how we define jr admin power ranger types. Then and only then can we decide if there is the prerequisite foundation necessary to say x vs y is needed to get to z.

Either way this is good discussion as we will need to have this sorted out once we get to that point.

How do you spell cooperation? Pessimists use
each other, but optimists help each other.
Collaboration feeds your spirit, while
competition only stokes your ego. You'll
find the best way to get along.
