Hi Sunny, The use of a survey to help determine the topic areas for curriculum development will allow us to have the widest possible field of view about what is important to candidates and employers alike. Think of this in terms of product development. The survey is funneling a list of requirements that we can then use in actually developing the certification. Developing it blind would very likely 'miss the mark'. The questions themselves came from several sources- a previous survey by one of the BSDCG group members, general well-known Unix topics, the BSD handbooks, previous teaching experience, several working sessions by BSDCG group members, and suggestions from several emails to the BSDCert list. Hopefully there are enough questions to get to almost every topic area, but not too many that the survey is too long to finish. And of course, every page has a comment box. Best Regards, Jim B. _______________________________________________ BSDCert mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nycbug.org/mailman/listinfo/bsdcert
