I know there’s a lot of people who do a lot of hard work for the club (I THANK EVERYONE FOR YOUR HARD WORK) I’m just saying for the size of our club there should be more participation from other members of the club. We just need to figure out how to get the non-participants to be excited about participate.

Thank you Eddie for the compliment. However, there are so many people that work hard for the club and the hobby I cannot take all the credit. A list of the club members that are active in the club functions are:

Kori WX5KR                Club Vice President, KK5W Call Sign Trustee and POTA coordinator
Dave N5EKW              Club Treasurer
Sean N5LNK               Club Recording Secretary
Jeff W5JEF                  Club Corresponding Secretary
Drew N1ER                 Club Officer
Terry K5PGF               Club Officer
Daphne K5VQY          Club Officer and General Meeting Food Manager
Rick W5RH                 Technical Guru and Past President
John K5IZO                 Club Parliamentarian and Past Newsletter Editor
Donovan KG5BDZ       Newsletter Editor
Eddie NU5K                 Web Master and GHHF Vendor support
John K4VMG               GHHF Web Master
John K5LKJ                 HF and Stir Crazy NET Manager
Rudy KF5QYG            Tuesday Night Net control
Robert KD5YVQ          146.94 Repeater Trustee
Gokhan KG0KHN        Newsletter Production
Mark K5MGJ                VE Coordinator
Randy AK5G                Club CPA

Then there are volunteers for the different groups - food prep at the general meetings; VE's; GHHF volunteers; newsletter contributors; NET controls and many more. I know I am missing a number of people but that isn not on purpose, just a limited supply of neurons.

All of these people help make the club. I have, in the past, tried to do as much as I can since I have a bad habit of not asking for help. But more and more people are helping do things for the club and it is becoming difficult to keep track of everyone. I want to thank everyone that helps with the club and the hobby. Without you, amateur radio would no longer be around.

Our president is very hard working and likes to do everything himself.

When you look at the numbers, we are probably one of the largest clubs in Texas with the membership is high as we have what 300+ that we should have more participation from our members so I guess the big question would be why do we have such low turnout in these events, banquet field day, ham fest, and other events that we put on throughout the year I am normally a very busy guy, but I do find time to help the club out whenever possible, and from the famous words of Rodney King can’t we all just get along 73
