Should be plug & play.  With Ubuntu Sheisty though, it always tries to
connect to a wireless connection, then gives up.

There's an icon in the upper right corner of GNOME where you can tell
it to use the "Wired" option, then it connects.  I have to do this
every time I boot, and I haven't really tried to fix it.
