Ok, thanks for the clarification - I think we're clear now. :-) I'm still not sure how often folks enable services like this on on live media but I'll admit that my experience with such CDs is limited to running disk partition software and the like. As such, I'm not adverse to leaving this in since the service is disabled by default. If we want to leave the FTP server in for the same reason, I'm fine with that too. dsc
