It sounds like writing a lot of software to somehow automatically 
maintain what is fundamentally manually-generated content.  And it 
doesn't solve the problem of providing targeted notifications to users 
who don't otherwise need to subscribe to caiman-discuss.  What does it 
provide as a benefit?
