In simple scenarios when there is a requirement to coexist
in environment without mDNS available and dedicate only
one machine to install server (equipped with S10), need for
mDNS might be avoided  - either by taking advantage of
unicast DNS or if location of service is provided directly
to the client (instead of service name).

Yes, the long term is to merge in exiting
infrastructure as seamlessly as possible - which
would mean taking advantage of already running
services/servers (DHCP, TFTP, HTTP, DNS, ...)
and establish new one only if not already available
or if existing one can't be used for some reasons.
