I took 6 x 10,000 mcd  white LEDs and wired them into the Davis light in a
circular pattern. The whole light takes only 40 ma and is one of the
brightest anchor lights out there.   I'm surprised Davis doesn't do it and
sell it at a great premium like other manufacturers. You'd think LEDs are
made out of gold.
