If your engine is pushing out unburnt diesel, it will soften up the carbon deposits in the exhaust and you will end up with oily soot being blown out of the exhaust. With a trad boat like yours, that means oily soot all over the roof, all over you, and even more annoyingly in your tea/wine/beer/beverage of choice. I speak from experience :-( It's a good idea to get this sorted as soon as possible, and I agree, it could well be the injectors. > Where would one take the injectors for service ? There are any number of diesel engine services advertised in the yellow pages, or go to <http://www.yell.co.uk> and look up "Diesel Fuel Injection" in your preferred location.
