1:-Got to Little Venice this year with no canal breach--hooray!
2:-Wasn't all that impressed, it seemed a little flat, only 6 boats in the
Saturday procession, including "Pisces" that I often steer myself!--boo!
3: Met Dorothy Robbie @ Bull's Bridge-another list face seen--hooray!
4:-Met Alan Cazaly on 'Pengalanty' @ the neck of the pool, couldn't talk
long, we were blocking the waterway--boo!
5:-Some interesting real ales available--hooray!
6:-Cold wind blowing for a lot of the weekend--boo!
7:-Sunny warm Saturday afternoon--hooray!
8:-Sunday morning cold & wet--boo!
9:-Briefly met Graham Keens on Jannock @ Uxbridge Lock when we were on our
way home--another list-face seen--hooray!
I shan't be busting a gut to go to Cavalcade again--it's a shame, my on-board
guest was the chairman of H.N.A. He'd never been before & he wasn't too
impressed either. I don't know why the 'zing' seems to have gone. HNA's project
manager came along on Saturday afternoon & he told me for instance that one
year the procession of boats numbered nearly one hundred!!
Visually though, the view of Brownings Pool from the Horse Bridge,
with all the boats clustered together, a lot of them 'dressed over all' remains
one of the most uplifting sights on the waterways
