In reply to Paul's comments which some have already been answered. Regarding the Bar B Q, we have tried to get a food outlet to do the food in previous years, but they have declined.
But that is something we can carry on looking at, but there is also the assiciated problems now of space and H&S etc. But I will take it on board. Entertainment! Yes I think we did fail and it will be something we will look at again. One of the problems with LV, is there is only a limited income, this comes from the boaters booking in, commercial ie the traders and food outlets and the bar. Entertainment is no cheap. Just a comment about the bar, this was the first time since 6 years ago that Wrg ran the bar. It was a suck it and see all profits made will go to the festival. But this took six to eight volunteers that I could not use else where. But I took the gamble and I think it worked several CAMRA people who turned up, went away very pleased, yes not everything was right but, I will be taking them forward and trying to improve things such as signage, even with all the constraints placed on us by the land owners. Unlike the IWA National where a entrance fee is charged we have not got that luxuary. Steve Haywood come on board this year, and with help from Liz Wilson a Wrgie, they have been trying to get sponsership from the local companies to which we are externally grateful. Perhaps Steve has suddenly found that a Festival such as LV is totally different when you work behind the scene. When there is something to be done, then its up to you to do it.
