I've driven over the Trent at Willington today and it was extremely 
high - a lot of minor roads in the area closed at Foremark, Walton and 
Alrewas. Strangely enough I later passed over the Soar at Ratcliffe and 
it looked normal! The local forecast in this area is (from a river 
sailing point of view) depressing.
The Trent rises more slowly than the Soar and takes longer to fall - 
I'd be very cautious about the Trent for something like six days ahead.
