Thats interesting - is that an average, or have you used a GPS. Also
many road based GPS's are not very good for canals as they round down
to the nearest mph.

Of course, the diesel heads amongst you, will know that old engines
were rated by their bore and stoke sizes like steam engines. It is not
equivelent to BHP. At a guess I would say my 19.2HP SR3 is equivelent
to about 30 BHP.

Of course when you do our sort of cruising you need every bit of BHP.
For canals you can get away with 1 HP!! :-)
