A well worn engine can make quite a difference. I used to only get 4.3
mph out of Shoestring's SR3 in open water until I had it properly
serviced and now get 5.3mph!

I think some of the others boats may have had a HA2 on the run - I
think they were faily common in working boats at one point. I also
noticed from your website that the back end is not original - how well
has the swim been made. I presume you've seen the incredable lines of
an original and explains why historic boats swim so well.
