Actually, although there are far fewer plastic boats than there used
to be (partly because of the risks of petrol fuelled engines?) there
were a lot at Redhill, mostly tied opposite us in the "parlour" of
workers' boats, and we saw a good many on the Witham earlier in the
year.
There's more to the Inland Waterways than the narrow canals of the
Midlands...
