Ooops - I bet you weren't happy about that then :-(

I guess they may have used a sledge .... the ice on the canal was 
between 3 and 8 inches thick at the time 'Wyrd' was empty over Christmas 
and stuck out in the wilderness, a good half mile from the closest nb 
and only slightly less from the closest road access :-(

The only good thing about that place was the wood - I managed to recycle 
a fair quantity of it for the fire!

But it has reminded me to install some anti-syphon security in the 
filler pipe.
