It's amazing the bullsh*t people will tell you.

I've just checked, and I've bought 9163 litres of red diesel since 10  
December 2004, from sources all over the system, and never had a  
problem with frothing.

Sounds like the garage pump is overpressuring the pipe for its diameter.
