I suggest to develope the plugin code in this way, that it conects to a internal HXP server that be included inside care2x. From here than there is a direct conection to the plugins. Keep attention to the security risks. Last night i checked squirellmail plugin as you offered and with an exploid it was easy to hack care2x. It was a normal webserver installation, nothing with symbolic links. Here i see the point, that you can make it easy secure with some knowledge. But we have to say CARE2x for Windows "Adjeu".
