Just to complete the thread. I got it the .bof file uploaded and programmed onto the FPGA.
>From UBUNTU machine in terminal session I used command: nc -w 2 -q 2 roachip 7147 < yourboffile.bof While at the same time from a TELNET session I ran ?upload 7147.
