  You guys have done a nice job of summarizing the options.
  
  I agree with the Breeze option if you do not have the plug, that is a  big 
hole that would need a lot of re-enforcement.  I to would have  it done 
professionally and that would probably be more expensive in the  long run.
  
 The Garelick I used is good for up to 175lbs and  has a vertical lift of 
151/2", plus the ability to tilt the motor  should keep it dry while sailing or 
storing. Cost through West Marine  was under $300 including shipping.
  
 Dave, why does yours need  to be off center ?  That to me means a higher 
placement of the  bracket and obviously a favored tack, unless I am missing 
something.
