Pam, Sounds like you should call it the Never Rest.........Ha Pamela Derby <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: I just got back from another marathon boat session, and just want to beam about my progress so far. If you remember I bought a 1974 c-27 two months ago off of Ebay (510$ shhh) She had been left alone for more than 10 years and the marina claimed her and got her title. After 3 powerwashings inside along with a lot of bleach, she looks much better. 5 coats of barrier paint, 2 coats of bottom paint; some paching on deck (waiting to do the paint the deck til she is in the water); an almost finished rebuild of the head, some hose replacements, varnished a lot, replaced two starboard bulkheads with sheets of plastic wood (? I forgot the name)--refitting them definitley took a long time. The mast is totally rewired with new lights, wire antenna, halyards and windex. It doesn't seem like a lot in black and white, but I really did some work! And besides, it is an away game...it takes me 4 1/2 hours to drive from Norfolk, VA to Middle River MD! The yard guys seems impressed with my skills, even for a girl! The mast goes up this week, I return On Friday, work twice again as hard and finish her enough to make her sailable and then, Monday or Tuesday, down to Norfolk I go! Here's to all you who love boats and work on them too! Pam (on the yet to be named C-27)
