Anyone ever heard of a lanyard? Attach it to the belt loop with enough slack that you can point it anywhere on the boat. Put it back in your pocked when you are done. A good flashlight can be small enough to easily keep in your pockets. Mini Maglights work great for me Chris D toy box eastport, md
