Race?!? You can race these things :>) All kidding aside, I noted a while ago that you and Bob were two of only 4 Catalina 27's on the DRYA valid list for PHRF.? With over 25 yacht clubs in the DRYA roster I find that somewhat incredible.? Do all the other Catalina owners crew on someone else's boat?? Congrats to both of you on what sounds like a nice race. I have to say that Bob did a great job of avoiding the Melges fleet on Sunday.? He also did an awesome job of winning our LSSC Single Handed?Race http://lakeshoresailclub.org/raceresults/2007results/2007_results_singlehanded_01.pdf.? My hat is off?to him.? I also want to mention that in addition to Bobs' 1st place, I was able to manage 2nd place in my Catalina 27.? This is against a fleet of an?Islander 36 (Marksman - Perennial DRYA Champion)??a Santana 35, a fellow Catalina 30, an Elite 32 and a Beneteau 350. ? As you all know, our little Catalina's are great little cruisers.? But they can also do it on the race course.? ? Congratulations Bob!!! ? I'm going sailing Sunday on Lake St. Clair.?? If I happen to bump into a few of the 60+ Melges on the lake, well then, that's their problem.? I hear they'er having a National Regatta or something starting today. ?
