The list of those who have spent fortunes chasing "the Cup" is a long one indeed. Sailboat racing in general is the same except is just a matter of degree. Those who chase the plastic cup or the old Mug have similar spirits. It is certainly a worthwhile objective and can be rewarding pastime. It just isn't my cup of tea...
